Ritual Humiliation

While playing last night, the first game I played was already in progress when I joined Donncha and Connor attacking on Port Valdez. After helping out a little bit with the first base we were preparing to move up to base two when I kept getting zinged by a sniper.

Getting killed by a sniper doesn’t usually bother me – but being killed repeatedly by the same one who is sat in the same position really chokes my goat. So I endeavoured to find and kill him. It took three, maybe four deaths for me to work out where he was…..

Peas and loaves.

  2. Dave,

I just stared my youtube channel and I’m in need of some help. I have a Hauppague HD PVR hooked up to my playstation but I’m having trouble with my video quality on youtube. It’s not uploading in HD and its smaller than the screen. What file format should I use? (.wmv and .avi are more than the 2GB alotted for a 10 gb movie. What do i need to change?)

I’ve been editing in Sony Vegas Movie Maker 8.

    • Quick answer before I go to bed:

      – Set the recording software to record at 6mbps (you only need 5mbps for 720p on YouTube)

      – Set the dimensions of your project to 25fps @ 1280×720

      – Render as .wmv (YouTube likes that format) at 5mbps

The last two I don’t know if you can set them like that in Movie Maker so you may need to fiddle about with those settings.

HTH – if you need anything else, just ask.

    • Is the black border on your computer or YouTube when you watch it?

You may not have this setting in Movie Maker but if you try right-click on the video stream, choose Properties and then untick Maintain Aspect Ratio. If it’s available you can then alter the squishy/stretchiness using the pan/crop tool.

    • I don’t know how much I’m going to be on over the next couple of weeks as the other half has broken her ankle – so I’m the lady of the house for the minute. It sucks, but this apron really sets off my eyes.

      • Sorry to hear about that. I broke my ankle when I was 12 and it was a pain.
Pass my best wishes to your wife and hope to see you online soon
